Hacking the Organ

Sandra Boss’ prosthetic sonic explorations; FUJI|||||||||||TA’s ritualistic craft performance— this afternoon performance and Q&A features two performers who built their own instruments to offer a unique sonic interpretation of the 21st century organ, which can be activated in any space. Japan's Fuji|||||||||ta performs on a hand-pumped organ of his own design and voice, making meditative to ecstatic, unheard sounds that exalt in the unknown, the mysterious, the impossible. Denmark's Sandra Boss designed a midi-controlled bespoke organ, sequencing intricate alien codes into it during performance for a post-tuning, post-human experience that weaves bubbling sound designs into a beautifully compelling ethereal narrative.
